On the obverse of the medal there is a cross, and between the arms of the cross there are 4 letters: C, S, P, B,

which means: "Let the Holy Cross be my light"

However, on the reverse of the medallion there is the figure of Saint Benedict, who holds a cross in his right hand and a book in his left. On the edges there is an inscription: May his presence protect us at the moment of death.
